Cochern established
a small company to distribute the
"SuperFood" known as Spirulina. A
few years later, he started a larger
firm to offer not only pure Spirulina,
but complex formulations that were
based in Spirulina, Barley Grass and

GMP refers to the Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations issued by the US Food and Drug Administration under the authority of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Through this they have created legal guidelines and regulations that require manufacturers, processors, and packagers of dietary supplements to take proactive steps to ensure that their products are safe, pure, and accurately labeled.

When we first found out about GMP’s we initially decided that we were going to embrace the change in every way possible. Our first act was to design an in-house lab to test every raw material and every finished product to ensure that what we put on our labels was indeed what was going into our products.
